To manage and report Central Bank of Oman (CBO) Examinations and Quarterly Compliance Certificates and to assist the Head of Regulatory Compliance in ensuring that the banks Management and Board is informed adequately in compliance matters. Prepare periodical compliance reports for onward submission to the Board of Directors and CBO

  • Manage and handle enquiries, advice, research, document processing and due diligence sign-off in keeping with the Compliance procedures of the Bank.
  • Assist with the development of drafting and developing all compliance policies.
  • Devise and improve processes and systems around AML and compliance risk assessment.
  • Prepare, monitor and maintain a compliance review plan ensuring that all relevant divisions, units and branches are covered.
  • Prepare compliance review programs and/or checklists of all applicable laws and regulation relevant to each division, unit and branches to ensure adequate coverage across the Bank.
  •  Perform, monitor and supervise compliance reviews to ensure that divisions, units and branches comply with laws and regulations relating to their areas of business/operations.
  • Prepare and review reports outlining the results of compliance reviews.
     

​A degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or Banking or a similar subject. And International Compliance Association qualification or similar is desirable 

At least 5 years’ experience in auditing and or banking. A working knowledge of all the rules for CBO, CMA policies, procedures and sanctions is essential. Should possess leadership skills, business report writing skills, decision making, problem solving and analytical skills and a command of English and Arabic.
