​Direct the Shari’a compliance across the bank’s units through Quarterly Shari’a Audit Exercises and Shari’a Review in day to day activities of the bank.

Management Information
  • Assisting Head of Shari’a/Internal Shari’a reviewer & SSB in forming an opinion on the shari’a compliance of the transactions. Shari’a review of the Transaction Documents of the executed transactions
  • Review & Updating of Shari’a  Audit Charter with approval from the Management & Board
  • Finalization of Shari’a Audit Report on quarterly basis and its presentation to Board Audit committee
  • Coordination with the External Examiners, External Shari’a Auditors 
 Advise and Expertise Development
  • Check and monitor Sharia compliance in all aspects of banking affairs and to look for and suggest areas of improvement for better Sharia compliance.
 Conduction of Quarterly Shari’a Audit Exercise.
  • Shari’a Audit of executed transaction on quarterly basis
  • Shari’a Audit of approved policies, products, documents on quarterly basis
  • Sharing of Draft Report with Internal Shari’a Reviewer
  • Finalization of Quarterly Shari’a Audit Report as per IBRF guidelines.
  • Maintaining the records of all the work done along with working papers for each quarter.
  • Also make sure that the funds are properly segregated & there is no mixing of funds.
  • Shall review on monthly basis how the profit is calculated & distributed by getting complete information from FCD.
  • Audit the Charity Account, Overdue account, termination charges & other charges as per approved Schedule of Charges.

As per CBO IBRF requirements (2.5.2.1 & 2.5.2.2). Education in Shari’a (Fiqh ul Mu’amlat), Islamic Banking & Experience of working in a Shari’a department or at minimum in an Islamic Financial Institution.
