The training programme, which is designed to empower young employees and provide them with the tools to be proficient leaders, was completed by five promising National Bank of Oman employees.
The Future Leaders Programme, which commenced for this particular class in May 2013, was run over a period of 15 months, and involved seven business modules taught by world-leading Cambridge University academics on subjects including innovation in financial services, leading change, and leading others. In between the lectures and seminars, the five National Bank of Oman representatives received additional group coaching sessions from respected Cambridge University professors.
The Future Leaders Programme also involved practical work on real life business scenarios requiring the application of knowledge and skills learnt earlier in the curriculum, specifically the importance of applying strategic research methods and the value of working in a team. National Bank of Oman staff were joined on the educational programme by employees from affiliates banks, Commercial Bank of Qatar and United Arab Bank.
